THE HISTORY OF ECO-FILTERS The innovative concept of a re-usable fabric filter was to replace the single-use paper filters, widely used in the concrete moulding industry and had long been sought after. It was in 1993 that the Eco-Filters company was formed. We occupied small premises, though with only 5 employees it was not crowded, and at that time we manufactured only one product - a standard pattern in one fabric type. Our product was extremely well received within the Industry and over the next 3 years our customer base and product range increased dramatically to such an extent that the premises soon lacked the capacity to cope with our increased production. New premises were sought and in 1996 we moved into our present 13,000 sq.ft premises. Additional, adjacent premises were acquired in 2004 so that our current staff of 50 can cope with the ever increasing manufacturing demands. This sustained growth in our product range and manufacturing capacity has necessitated a large investment in the the most up-to-date, state-of-the-art plant and machinery, which now includes a Computer Aided Design (CAD) System and an advanced Computer Controlled Router to enable us to provide our ever increasing wide range of filter shapes and patterns. In recent years, whilst continuing to increase our product lines in the UK and Europe markets, we have been steadily increasing sales into the major markets of the Middle East and North America. Although we are considered to be the major supplier of paper replacement filters in Uk and Europe, we are working to achieve worldwide recognition for our sales, quality, cofidentiality and innovation in this specialist field.
